SXT Texting Service

Check out this great new texting sexual health service and let us know what you think.

SXT is a texting service where you can ask questions about sexual health and get contact details about local clinics and health services.

All you need is your mobile phone and the first three digits of your postcode. These can be found on a road name sign. If you give us the full postcode then SXT will send you more accurate information. 

Just text:

YOUR POSTCODE to 07781 470 056

Then SXT will text you back a list of places you can go to get help. SXT has just started the service in South London (Postcode = SE1) with plans to expand across the rest of London and the UK over the coming year.

SXT will help you find local sexual health services and once you select a provider a text will be sent with contact details, travel & relevant booking information.

You can also ask a question to SXT, for example:

• Where can I get emergency contraception? 
• Where can I get a check up? 
• I have got symptoms. Where can I get a test right now? 
• Who locally can top up my contraceptive pill or injection? 
• Where can I get a coil or an implant fitted today? 
• Is there a service for gay men locally? 
• Unwanted pregnancy: Who can help me get information about an abortion? 
• The condom broke and my partner said they were HIV positive. Where can I get hold of post exposure prophylaxis (PEP)?

All SXT users will be given the opportunity to provide feedback on the sexual health clinic selected. This information will be used by SXT to help improve sexual health services.
